web 2.0 is amazing

I have come to love the internet and all its fascinating information- I am not so old - ha- that I can see incredible value and opportunities that this avenue offers! and yes I am trying to get my mother to open an email address and learn to use the internet... I have found old friends, lost family , and new friends . What I think is the coolest of all is being able to create new friendships with people across the world- and while I do think there are some scary possibilities, I am so ready to jump in with both feet!

getting to know me ! LOL!

well hm, first off I am a single mom with three young adults that I absolutely adore and think are pretty great kids. I love God with all my heart and soul and hope that I live a life that pleases him. I am really excited about this learning experience and cant help but think of the movie "Julia and Julia "and the young woman's blog on learning to cook and its ups and downs. I expect this to be quite similar for me- sometimes joyful and other times thinking "what am I doing?" and I owe this whole thrilling experience to the crazy nut who is my friend, and you KNOW who you are! love ya !

I love genealogy and my ex husband used to tell me- Becky likes dead people more than the living! and while sometimes that is true- they cannot hurt me, or abandon me- they can certainly frustrate the heck out of me! Especially when I have been on the journey for a long time and just cant seem to get past my brick wall. I love the challenge of finding someone I have looked for a long time and the satisfaction of getting information I need. To me these have been living breathing individuals who have lived and died and been a part of who and what this country and others have become. That is exciting to me!

I am crazy about cemeteries, old libraries, and courthouses. I also love sports, cheering on - reading, old movies, country classics, little kids, animals of all kinds -especially cats, but mostly
spending time with my family and friends.
